Rosa is currently Head of Development at Bristol Music Trust/Colston Hall. Rosa has previously worked at Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra as Head of Development, at Salisbury International Arts Festival as Development and Communications Manager and at Chester Festivals as Director.
Kate is Head of Development at Bristol Music Trust/Colston Hall whilst Rosa is on maternity leave. Kate has been working in the charity sector for over 15 years and most recently worked at Tobacco Factory Theatres. She also has a prior background in marketing and communications in the corporate sector and holds a charity trusteeship.
Marguerite Jenkin joined the Bristol Music Trust as Finance & Commercial Director in March 2011 and brings wide-ranging experience of managing change and strategy development to improve performance in both commercial and not for profit sectors. She has worked in a variety of charity, government, media and arts organisations, including BBC Radio 3, BBC Orchestras & BBC Proms, BBC Radio 5 Live, the National Gallery Company and Central Government. She is also a qualified leadership coach and counsellor.
Dr Ros Kennedy
Dr Ros Kennedy is a retired GP and has lived in Bristol for over 35 years. In March 2015, she was appointed High Sheriff of the County and City of Bristol for a year.
She is Vice Chair of the Governing Body of Bristol Cathedral Choir School and chair of the Staffing Committee. Her other roles include safeguarding and supporting the pastoral staff with Pupil Premium and Children in Care. Since her retirement, she is also a trustee at Bristol Drugs Project and Bristol Charities.
Henry Kenyon – Chairman, Bristol Music Trust
Partner of 20 years with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and currently Non Executive Director of Western Provident Association and Covea Insurance plc. Henry has previously held positions as Vice Chairman and Treasurer of CLICSargent Cancer Care for Children, Chairman of the Interim Executive Board and Governor of Bristol Brunel Academy, and Audit Committee member of The International Baccalaureate. Henry is also currently a trustee of the Ceylon School for the Deaf and Blind, UK Fund.
Sonia Mills – Chair of BMT Capital Fundraising Group
Sonia spent her career in the NHS which included several CEO level posts with NHS Oxfordshire, Swindon Marlborough NHS Trust and latterly CEO for North Bristol NHS Trust responsible for the development of the new Southmead Hospital. She has a degree from Cambridge in Natural Sciences and an MSc from Bristol University in Public Policy Studies. Based in Bristol she now continues to coach senior managers and also has several Governor and trustee roles including Governor at Colston Girls School and is on the Board of Governors for UWE.
Louise Mitchell – Chief Executive, Bristol Music Trust
Louise Mitchell was appointed in 2011 as Chief Executive of the Bristol Music Trust. Previously, Louise was the first Director of Glasgow UNESCO City of Music, a position taken after being at the head of the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall for 13 years where she spearheaded the regeneration of two of Glasgow’s most revered venues: the City Halls and the Old Fruitmarket. Louise is a board member of the Association of British Orchestras and also on the Board of Destination Bristol, is a Trustee of the Royal Philharmonic Society, a Royal Society of Arts Fellow, Vice Chair of British Association Concert Halls, and was also a past Board Member of International Society for Performing Arts.
Andrew Nisbet’s professional interests lie in Nisbets plc. Andrew’s charitable and community interests involve Young Bristol, the Bristol Cathedral Trust and St Stephen’s Church.
Retired in 2001 from a very high profile career in the Police Service, for over 34 years being known for his progressive and energetic approach to the provision of efficient and effective public service, and balancing the conflicting requirements of the individual and the organisation. Continues to deal with Ministers, Senior Local Government Officers and Members, and other significant public and private sector organisations at the highest level. Throughout his career has been involved as a Trustee of diverse voluntary bodies often operating on a national scale.
