BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Singer of the Year 2014 Bella Hardy embarks on tour to celebrate her brand new, as yet unnamed album (due for release in 2017). An expert fiddler and a prodigious writer, her original and borrowed songs place her captivating voice front and centre amid thoughtfully constructed instrumental arrangements.
Following time spent in China, Nashville and other adventures, she began to make a record of new creations with producer Paul Savage (The Delgados). Her new material includes tracks such as ‘You Don’t Owe The World Pretty’ dedicated to daughters of all ages, ‘Stars’ based on an ancient poem from the Chinese Shijing, and ‘Learning To Let Go’ written underneath a magnolia tree in Berkeley, California.
